We seem to have a theme this summer...bugs! This huge beautiful butterfly got caught up in my windshield wiper on the way home from Mallory's birthday. It surprisingly stayed in one piece, but was clearly injured. We took it off and put it in the butterfly net and then into their bug cage. A little later we took it out to release it, the butterfly couldn't fly but it did crawl all over the boys. So they enjoyed it for a little while and then we put it in the grass.
It was probably the biggest one we've seen this summer (other than the ones at the Butterfly Garden at the Zoo).
It was crawling all over Carson's neck and tickling him.
