Playing in the Rain

Well our pool date with Memaw was canceled because of some pop-up thunderstorms. So instead of swimming we went to the park to play for awhile and rode the Merry-Go-Round which was a good alternative. When we thought the coast was clear from any rain we tried to go putt-putting. But that too had to be canceled by yet another pop-up storm, and that was when we decided we should just call it a day. When we got back home it was raining but not storming so I let the boys play in the rain. Camden has an obsession with umbrellas and most of the time we are usually in a hurry when it is raining and he doesn't get to carry it. So this was the perfect time. They had the best time out there. I put all of the pictures in the web albums.

Poor Carson doesn't have any rain boots but he took upon himself to find his snow boots and I just couldn't tell him no. He was so proud to have some boots to wear like his big brother. Luckily for me he doesn't know the difference yet.

Camden is explaining to me that Jesus makes it rain and that some day he is going to ride in an airplane way up in the sky and see Jesus. You just can't help but love what kids come up with and have to say about the world around them. Carson had his own story. After I told them to be on the lookout for a rainbow, Carson is walking around repeatedly saying "Rainbow, where are you?" (imagine him saying it without the "R" sound).

The sun came out long enough to produce a rainbow. Thank goodness because Carson would probably still be out there looking for one.
