Saturday was our annual Easter Egg Hunt and festivities at the park. It was a bit chilly but a beautiful day. Abby brought Bennett up to participate and my parents came for some moral support and to stand with the big boys since all age groups go at the same time. Before the Easter egg hunt though, we paid a visit to the Easter Bunny and enjoyed some yummy pancakes.
This is almost how I expected the picture to turn out. Cooper is actually doing better than I thought he would. And poor Bennett couldn't get to his mommy fast enough.
two happy babies with their Papaw
Papaw and Camden waited at the 5-6 year old group. Camden was a double winner with 2 of his eggs containing a piece of paper saying he won a prize. We are now the proud owner of cotton candy, a tattoo kit, and an egg coloring kit.
Waiting patiently isn't a forte of a one year old. Bennett and Cooper couldn't wait to get their little hands on those brightly colored "balls" in the grass. Bennett is off finding acorns to help pass time. They both were able to grab plenty of eggs.
Finally!!! Cooper did a really good job. I showed him how to do it and then put a few eggs by him and he picked them up and put them in his bag.

Memaw stood with Carson in the 3-4 year old group. We have a better report than last year...he improved his egg count 5 times over! He had 5 eggs in his bag instead of ONE last year:)
