Indianapolis Indians Game

Friday night we had plans to attend the Indians game as a family. We had an added surprise when my Grandpa and my Aunt Cindy and Uncle Guy joined us for the game (my cousins Kaylin and Elissa joined us a little later into the game). We had a lot of fun sitting in the outfield with them. Uncle Guy took the boys on a couple of walks and each time they came back with something in their hands (Camden is very good at persuasion). The night came to a close with some ice cream, an Indians win, and some fireworks. The fireworks are let off in centerfield...a little too close for Mommy but absolutely perfect for the boys. They will love any event if it closes with fireworks.

A very dear moment that had to be captured. Baseball is my Grandpa's absolute favorite sport and it was so neat to see Camden there sitting with him carring on a conversation.

Bike Wash

I let the boys wash their bikes the other day because they had gotten so dirty from riding and collecting rocks in their baskets (to throw in the lake). They had an enjoyable time washing their bikes but I think they enjoyed washing their bodies, mostly Carson's, more.

Swimming at the Benzigers

Last Friday we went up to Kokomo to hang out at the Benzigers. Patty was in town for the weekend staying at her parents while Mitch was away on a guy's outing. It was so nice to hang out with her and Tatum. It was like old times but with kids...so really it was totally different:) We were able to let the kids swim and play while we tried to catch up on what was going on in our lives. It doesn't happen often enough. Our moms were there so they enjoyed watching the grandkids and helping out. It was kind of a weird feeling watching the boys swim and play at the same house where I spent a lot of time hanging out in high school with Patty. Again I posted all of the pics in the web album.

Camden as always loved the water but I think he found a new love for it. We don't get the chance to go swimming in private pools often, so this was a completely different experience than when we go to the public pool where there are tons of kids around. He was able to do things at his own pace. I think he spent about 2 straight hours in the pool before he decided to get out. His newest trick is jumping in off the side of the pool all on his own. He was so proud of himself. But what he didn't realize was that the arm floaties were keeping him afloat. So after lunch he took it upon himself to jump in without them on scaring everyone there. I had to run and jump in the pool to get him. He was alright and after a minute or two he was ready to get back in, this time with arm floaties on. It is amazing how quick they can be even with as many adults that were there.

Red Wings Team Party...

Last Wednesday Camden had his end of the season T-Ball Party at the park. They kids played all night long, ate cake and ice cream, and received their medals. It was nice to see them play together off of the field.

Prather Boy #3

I guess we are well on our way to completing a starting 5 for a basketball team (a 3 guard line-up). Camden and Carson are proud to announce that they will be big brothers to another brother. Well we should say the verdict is still out on whether or not Camden will accept him. He has said all along that that Mommy was having a girl and was still in denial when we walked out of the doctor's office this morning. The baby is very healthy and moving a lot. As many of you can relate, it is always a relief to see a healthy baby on the monitor. Seeing him gets us excited to meet him come late Nov./early Dec.

Happy 2nd Birthday Carson!!

Yesterday was Carson's birthday. I can't believe that he is 2. He was so happy and excited that it was FINALLY his birthday and he was going to get to eat his Nemo cake that we have been talking about for the last month. A lot of times it seems like the older one gets everything and gets to do everything, so for Carson his second birthday seemed a little extra special...it was his day. All in all it was a great weekend. Camden went with my parents for the weekend over to watch Andrew play a couple of games. So he got some one-on-one time with them and Carson got some much needed Mommy and Daddy time. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. A Night At the Fair...

Last night we went up to Greentown and met my parents out at the fair. I wish I had on tape all of the comments the boys had to say about it. They were too cute. We got there at about 6:30 and didn't get back to our car until 10:30 and I didn't hear one whine or cry from either of them the entire time. They were very good and patient. It was a perfect night for the fair and all of the rides were only one ticket (or a dollar a ride), so it was pretty crowded. I think they each rode 8 rides, and we all rode the "biggest ferris wheel ever" (according to Camden). By the time we left we had our fill of fair food, rides, and 4H animals. It was a really fun night and all of the pictures from the night are in the web albums.

Carson didn't like this ride too much. When he got off he told me "Me no like, too high". However later he was telling us he did like it.

This was a kiddie rollar coaster. Poor Papaw had to squeeze in this little seat. I love Camden's face here, and he loved the ride. Carson was a last minute decision. We weren't going to let him go but he was so upset that Camden and Papaw were going that we went ahead and let him. He is a brave little one, and he wasn't going to let Camden have one up on him.

Looking out from the top of the big ferris wheel. Before we got on, Camden asked me if they had seatbelts. I thought that was very thoughtful. He told me at the end of the night (as though it was a relief) "Me and Carson didn't fall on any rides". It must of been a concern of his.

Carson was cracking up at all of the animals. He would look and maybe touch the animal and then run off laughing and then come back and do it all again. He thought they were great, maybe better than the rides.

Independence Day!

After Nadia's birthday party we headed over to Noblesville H.S. for a little July 4th celebration and ended the night with some fireworks. Memaw and Papaw Quinnette and Uncle Drew and Madi joined us over there. The boys jumped in an airwalk and then talked Uncle Drew and Madi to take them down the slide. I think I might like her going on vacation with us. She's pretty fun!
