Another fall tradition is our trip to the zoo for their celebration of Halloween with my parents. This year Abby, Zach, and Bennett (the sock monkey) joined us. We just so happened to go on the most popular day (or so it seemed). It was nearly 70 degrees and absolutely beautiful...and very, very crowded. It seemed like they had lots more decorations this year as well. We got there in time to see them feed the Penguins and watch Tombi, one of the elephants, do a few tricks, paint a picture, and smash and eat a whole pumpkin! Carson even got to pet Tombi (Camden didn't want to). We met up with cousins Madyson and Will, and ran into the Armstrongs, and the Perezs.
