Our Poor Beloved Hoosiers...

Well we went and cheered on the Hoosiers Sunday hoping to bring them some luck but the end result was the same...one more for the loss column. The boys stayed back with my parents and Cooper got to tag along. He was quite a trooper...sleeping the whole first half and enjoying the game the second half. It was exciting nevertheless, the "white-out" crowd was really into the game.

Cooper can now enjoy some more upright views of the world in his Bumbo seat. He lasts for about 10 minutes before the noggin starts to get a little heavy for him. He does pretty well considering he is 2 months old.
Carson is making his snow angel with eyes clinched shut so the snow won't get in them.
Camden could stay out in the snow all day I think. He is so warm-blooded and never seems to get cold. Here it is starting to get dark out and he is still playing. He was trying to build a snow castle. This was yesterday and after our mini-blizzard overnight we couldn't even tell where his snow castle was.

Sledding 101

This posting is a little late...the boys went sledding with Daddy last weekend for the first time (Mommy took the pictures and videos and then headed back to the van to stay warm with Cooper). We had a few classic wipeouts by both boys but no one was hurt. They had a great time and of course wanted to go back the next day. After an afternoon of sledding we headed back home for some hot chocolate.
Close call...this one was a little too close to the tree for Mommy.

After watching the bigger boys, Camden decided to give it a try on his belly which actually worked out better...closer to the ground means no wipeouts and going faster down the hill.

Carson was brave enough to go down by himself a few times but he really liked going down with Daddy best.

2 month check-up...

Cooper had his 2 month check-up on Thursday. He now weighs 13 lbs. and is 2 feet long (that's the 75 percentile for both). He is slightly bigger than Carson was at 2 months (he was 12 lbs. 12 oz. and 23 1/4 long).

Cooper Meets Great-Papaw

My Grandpa was up from Florida recently to meet his newest great-grandsons...Cooper and Bennett. It was so nice to spend some time with him and also let the boys get to know him a little more each time he visits. I wish we could see him more often. But I have to say that he is probably the smartest one of bunch...he avoids this bitter cold weather by living in Florida:)

No more Sunday Football...

We always look forward to the NFL Playoffs and watching the Colts with friends and family but for the second straight time we won't be cheering on the Colts. This picture is a little late but I wanted to post it because I thought it was so cute of the 3 of them in their Colts jersies/onesie. We did watch the game at Abby and Zach's house and had a good time.

One day last week we went over to Tatum's for a playdate. As we were leaving the boys went ahead and went to the car to wait while I finished chatting with Tatum. When I looked out at the boys, Carson was peaking out the door and all I could tell was that he had black eyes. Now this is the kid who will get into anything that is a cream (Vaseline, Vicks, lotion, Desitin, toothpaste... you name it he's probably been in it), so I instantly wondered what he found in the van to get into. As I got closer I noticed that he had tried to put on my mascara. It was the funniest thing. I have to give him credit for being so observant and knowing where to put it. Tatum was nice enough to take this picture of him.

Happy 2009!!!

We celebrated the new year by having the Perez's over. We didn't quite make it to midnight but we had a good time. I hope everyone has a healthy and prosperous 2009!
Jose trying a fancy way to open the champagne...it didn't quite work.

CHEERS!!
Cooper loves for Jose to hold him.

Random pics...

Cooper is changing everyday and is starting to respond to us with adorable smiles here and there. He is also starting to sleep a little longer at night which is always a welcoming change.

The boys got the Polar Express movie in 3-D for Christmas and the watched last weekend while we took down the tree. Mommy and Daddy even sat down to watch it a little bit.

Christmas!

Here are some photos from Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas...spending Christmas Eve at my parents' house, Christmas day Santa visited and in the afternoon we had Christmas at Chris' Grandma's house, and the following Saturday we went to Chris' parents house. I have to say that I was exhausted when we were all done. We have recovered and I am almost done organizing their toys so our house doesn't look too much like a daycare. Check out the web albums for the complete album of Christmas.
The boys with Bennett. Camden is holding Cooper and Carson is holding Bennett.
Carson's new dinosaur sleeping bag...somehow Camden managed to get in as well.
Camden finally opened up his pirate sleeping bag. They have been sleeping in them in their beds.
Santa visited and the boys couldn't have been happier. Camden says "Santa doesn't come down the chimney...he just puts the presents down and they bounce under the tree."

Thank you Great-Memaw for those great trucks!

Merry Christmas to all!

The boys are looking forward to Santa visiting their house. We took them to see Santa this past weekend, and I am glad that we waited closer to Christmas to visit the "big guy". Both boys had a more positive experience after talking about him for the past few weeks...no Prather boys crying this year. Next year might be a different story.

May you have a safe and blessed Christmas!!!
Here are some photos of the boys when we were trying to get our Christmas card done. As you can imagine it took a lot of photos to get just one to put on the card.

Cooper went for his one month check-up on Friday. All is well and he weighed 10 lbs. 4 oz. and was 22 1/4 long. He is no longer my biggest baby...Carson weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz. at his one month.

2 weeks old and a shopper...

Sunday Chris kept the older boys and put up some Christmas lights outside while they played in the snow. Camden has convienently reminded Chris daily that we don't have lights on our house. So he was so excited to help put them up. Cooper and I went shopping for the day with my Mom, Abby and Bennett. We usually go on Black Friday but that didn't work out since Cooper was only a week old. We had a great time and made up for it yesterday and found some really good deals. Cooper was great and didn't even know he went to the mall.
