Catching Up...

I know it is November and Halloween is sooooo yesterday but I am still going to post some Halloween pics (I left my camera at Tatum's house on Halloween). The boys had a really fun day (what kid doesn't, right?). Our trick-or-treating actually started out Fri. night when we went up to visit Memaw and Papaw Prather's house. On Sat. we went to my parents' house in the morning and then back to Noblesville to walk around the Perez's neighborhood. We stayed and enjoyed the rest of the evening with pizza, candy, kid movies, candy, a game of clue for the adults, and did I mention candy.
This weekend continued to be an exciting one for us. We had Bennett's first birthday party on Sat. and Chris and I attended our first Colts game with my parents on Sunday (hopefully we will be invited back since they squeezed out a win). I will post those pics later this week.

Way to go Daddy for carving great pumpkins this year!!!

Trick-or-Treating at Memaw and Papaw Q.'s house (my mom's cousins from Hilton Head were up visiting with their dog Jack).

Happy 1st Halloween, Cooper!

"May we have some candy, pleeeeease!"

ZooBoo!

Another fall tradition is our trip to the zoo for their celebration of Halloween with my parents. This year Abby, Zach, and Bennett (the sock monkey) joined us. We just so happened to go on the most popular day (or so it seemed). It was nearly 70 degrees and absolutely beautiful...and very, very crowded. It seemed like they had lots more decorations this year as well. We got there in time to see them feed the Penguins and watch Tombi, one of the elephants, do a few tricks, paint a picture, and smash and eat a whole pumpkin! Carson even got to pet Tombi (Camden didn't want to). We met up with cousins Madyson and Will, and ran into the Armstrongs, and the Perezs. Check the web albums for the rest of the pictures from the day.

Thank goodness the Triceratops didn't scare off Tombi

Will the Firefighter with his Dalmation Doggie, Madyson's a High School Musical cheerleader, Bennett the adorable sock monkey, Captain Camden, and the ever so ferocious Triceratops.

Carson's Fall Party

Wednesday was Carson's Fall party. So Cooper and I went back for Round 2 of the hayride and pumpkin games. The boys get so excited when they know I get to come participate in some of their school activities, but Carson gets especially excited when I am there. He just smiles and smiles. He comes running over to me with lots of hugs and repeating my name. (Keep scrolling down to see pics of Camden's party)

Ahh...that smile, it can get you everytime.

It was much warmer out for Carson's hayride and turned out to be a beautiful Fall day.

Just the right size!

He thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this cookie...he was the only one that had to go the bathroom to get cleaned up:)

Pumpkin cornhole...too cute!

Camden's Fall Party

Both of the boys had their Fall parties this week at school. So Cooper and I got the pleasure of tagging along on the hayrides and playing some pumpkin games. I look forward to the fall parties because it is the first time that I get to see the boys at school with their teachers and classmates. All of the pics are in the web albums.

"Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate..."

The kids "race" out to get the pumpkins and in true Camden fashion he was the first out and back with his.

It was really cold that morning.  Camden got to pick one out for Cooper as well (so nice of them to always think of the siblings).

Playing with pumpkin play-doh. It was homemade and smelled like pumpkin spice!

5th Anniversary of Stoney Creek...

This trip to Stoney Creek marked the 5th year that we have made this trip.  I can't believe that we have been at this for 5 years now.  We more than impressed with the new additions to Stoney Creek.  It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.  As always all of the pics are in the web albums.

Cooper loves being outside and was happy to go along for the ride.

The highlight of the day was this jumping pillow.  Thank goodness because we seemed like we waited in line forever.  It looked like lots of fun and something I would have liked to have tried out.

IU Homecoming!

Saturday we went with my parents down to Bloomington to help cheer IU to a victory over Illinois for Homecoming...and it worked!!! We prepared for the bitter cold weather with some chilli and hot chocolate and other tailgating treats. We took a little break from the cold and warmed up by watching the IU basketball team practice in Assembly Hall (that made Chris' day). It was a really fun day and wasn't as cold as we thought it was going to be. All of the pics are in the web albums.

Cowboys and Dinosaurs...

An Arthur book about cowboys calls for wearing cowboy hats as well...

This has without a doubt been Carson's highlight of the week. It made his day on Monday when his costume finally arrived in the mail (this is the first time he has decided himself what he wanted to be for Halloween). He put it on and 2 days later...he STILL has it on. He is so proud of his Triceratops costume. He has done everything from grocery shop to sleeping in it. We have met a lot of people in the last 2 days who stop and talk to Carson about his latest fashion statement. I forget he even has it on and I think Cooper is beginning to think this is what his brother looks like. Oh to be a kid again.

Guffy Acres

We went to Guffy Acres on Saturday with my parents. The boys had lots of fun running through the kid maze, playing in the cornbox, "milking" a cow, going on a hayride, and many other activities. We met the Perez/Wards out there and the boys played with the girls for awhile. We opted out of the big corn maze because it was entirely way too muddy. Despite the cold weather we had a fun time. All of the photos are in the web albums.

This was on our way to the hayride. We had to go through a little corn maze that the boys enjoyed and wasn't nearly as muddy.

Movie and NFD Pancake Breakfast

This weekend kicked off our fun-filled month of October. Friday night we met the Perez's downtown Noblesville to watch "Monsters' Inc." right in the middle of the street on a big blow up screen. We had Halloween cookies, kettle corn, and hot apple cider.

Saturday morning after Camden's soccer game we headed over to Firehouse #71 for a pancake breakfast. The boys got to put out a "fire" with the big hose, climb through the fog-filled fire safety house and escape down the ladder, and climb in and out of all of the firetrucks.

We of course sat down to enjoy some freshly made Mickey Mouse chocolate chip pancakes too. It's true, firefighters really do know how to cook:)  (The little girl is our neighbor, Gweni who just happen to be there as well).

Cooper could have fit completely inside one of those boots.

Sunday in the Park

Sunday we went down to Abby's house to meet everyone for my Mom's birthday. They were flying back from a long weekend in New Jersey for a wedding. We headed over to Holliday Park to celebrate Memaw's birthday. It was a really nice day and we enjoyed Jimmy John's sandwiches, cupcakes and pumpkin cookies, lots of play time on the playground that even the adults enjoyed, and a walk around the park. It was a great idea and we will have to do again sometime.

Abby got sucked into reading books to Camden and once you read one there's no turning back.

Memaw and all of her little grandsons.

The playground was huge. It was a little hard to keep track of the boys. One time we were looking around for Camden and we found him at the top of the rock climbing wall with 3 other girls. I wish I had a recording of their coversations. I don't know if they liked playing with him or not but he loved chasing them (or as Chris put it...stalking them) around the playground. We're in for it in a few years.
